2008 bmw e60 with cas3+ no key, which key programmer + how?

Car model and year: 2008 BMW e60 with cas3+

Situation: The owner has no key.

BMW key programmers test reports:
1. Autel IM608

2. Xhorse VVDI2

3. CGDI BMW key programmer

1. Autel IM608 successfully finally:
Update on this car. I was able to get the key programmed using the Autel. I had to remove the CAS and read the EEPROM. Then I was able to write the key, and use the 64 attempts to get the key to start the vehicle. I got all the way to 58 attempts, but it worked! After I got that key programmed, I attempted to program another through OBD with the working key, and it was still unsuccessful. I am not sure why the car would not accept programming even with a working key, but I am happy I did not have to remove the DME.

Quoted: "After I got that key programmed, I attempted to program another through OBD with the working key, and it was still unsuccessful. I am not sure why the car would not accept programming even with a working key".
That's because dealing with some (maybe all, please correct me if I'm wrong) CAS3++ ISTAP it's not possible to add key via OBD even if we have a working key. Need to do like you did, read EEPROM on the table and then find ISN from the working key.

No it's not the good tool for this CAS3++ ISTAP, other tools are enable to do it by OBD2, just a risky job! ( to downgrade CAS )
IM608 Method is good, safe & recommended. Normally after obtaining IMMO KEY DATA + 1 WORKING KEY, you no need the car to add another key ... ( IM608 tool is not able ) 100%.

BMW no need obd2 to program another key, OBD2 it's just to obtain IMMO KEY DATA!
But you already have this info, made a dealer key with this info + working key & start car ...

2. How I did successfully with Xhorse VVDI2 Programmer?
I've done over a dozen of these, Zed full did not work after downgrading cas I couldn't do much more.

With VVDI2
1). simply downgrade CAS (never had an issue, make sure you have good power.)
2). After downgrading cas, pull cas and EEPROM immo data, make key in vvdi2, write back to cas.
3). Now you need ISN, you have 2 options, try up to 64 times letting it try and figure out ISN for you OR pull and read ISN from DME

I never pull DME on cas3+ ISTAP works 100% with VVDI2.

I could not read EEPROM even after downgrading through OBD (on some I can, the ones I couldn't happen to be 2011 if I remember right), so I proceed to remove CAS. I will have to try ISN through OBD next time. VVDI2 says this type supported in the future when trying to read EEPROM OBD after downgrade (latest updates).

Someone doesn't think so:
.NO
will not lower unless I had the flu thenI'll tell you how it turns out, cas3 ++ surprised me, series 1, old car, with a 3-liter engine, no keys, we can do it

3. CGDI BMW key programmer reviews:
TESTED ON BENCH, sometimes yes but generally no! I never tested on the car ... For BMW CAS 1>3 I only use CGDI BMW: low price tool who never failed, dealer key cost only £150 for sell to customer half of price you need CGDI BMW !!!
I have VVDI2 FULL, X100pad 2 pro after tested on the bench, I will never use them after bad results...
