Hello, guys! Today I wanna use the Xtool X100 PAD3 (X100 PAD Elite) + KC501 tool to program a key for Mercedes Benz E-class W212 on the bench.
As you can see, here are the Mercedes dashboard and EIS modules, an original key and a new blank key, everything are in connection for ready.
So here we go to the Xtool X100 PAD3 tablet,
Diagnosis >> Benz >> Agree >> Infrared key system >> Password calculation >> Data collection >> With programmed key
Insert the original key into the EIS.
Wait for 5 seconds, then remove the original car key from the EIS.
Press “OK”.
Select the communication method with EIS, press “OK”.
Read via OBD >> Automatic identify
Insert the original key into the lock.
Wait for 5 seconds, then remove the original car key from the lock.
Press “OK”.
Insert the original key into the infrared key slot of KC501, press “OK”.
Record the password, press “OK”.
Return back to an infrared key system,
EIS functions >> Read EIS information >> Read via OBD >> Automatic identify >> OK
We can check the key information here.
F2 >> OK >> Input password, key location and format, press “OK”>> OK
The file is saved, press “Yes” to write data into the blank key.
Connect KC501 to the device, insert a new key into KC501 infrared key slot, press “OK”.
